I need a God who fucks up, a fallible god. A god who leaves things out
accidentally and when I trip and fall and become injured it is
their mistake.

A god of crossed wires, misremembered promises
who loves me and will hurt me and it's not part of their divine
plan
it's just an accident,
a fuck up, and they stand there with my broken heart
staining their nice robes, looking terrified and praying
for some kind of glue
and it helps;
their standing there, their praying.
And that's all. They're a god,
and mine. They fuck up and don't leave and
this is how we worship.
