When & Where

Apr 12, 2023, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The Portland Grief House, 7906 N Fessenden St, Portland, OR 97203, USA

Who

What

The Portland Grief House invites you to join The Lost Table. A table that is resilient, strong and safe for those who have experienced a significant loss. Take a seat, bring a dish and feel free to share your heart in good company. How do you deal with your grief when you are struggling to understand it? Sometimes grief needs community and food.

The Portland Grief House is happy to help carry on this lovely tradition started by the Side Yard Farm.

In the hopes of offering more people time to talk and be heard meaningfully, we'll be breaking into a few smaller groups of 5 or so people for sharing. Our schedule for the evening will look a little something like this:

6 - 6:15(ish) - gather, be welcomed, serve yourself food, chat with people you've met at Lost Table before, introduce yourself to new people.

6:15 - 6:45(ish) - settle around a small table and share your stories, memories and feelings plus photos drawings - whatever feels important.

6:45 - 7:00(ish) - stetch your legs, get more food, chat and mingle.

7:00 - 7:30(ish) - Come together with a new group around a different table to hear more stories and tell more of yours.

7:30 - 7:45(ish) - Clean up, talk with folks, gathering your things, exchange information as you're called to.

7:45 - 8:00 - whole group closing activity and goodbyes.

To bring:

  • a dish to share with serving utensils
  • dinner ware for yourself (plate, bowl, spoon, fork, napkin)
  • beverage for yourself

We hope to see you there.
