Who

What

Perhaps human people have always pondered mortality. In the realm of contemplative practice we are urged to consider, with genuine sincerity, that our lives are impermanent. It might just be the only thing we can truly rely on. Most everything else around us in the human-made world seems to communicate the opposite message to the point of squeezing out any available space to grieve what we know, deep down, to be our common destination.

Utilizing the teachings of ancient traditions to unlock our interior wisdom we can remember that life and death have always coexisted, that our bodies know how to die just like they know how to live, and that practicing our death a little bit each day can land us with greater clarity directly in the center of our lives as we live out our beautiful, earthly existence.

Please consider the temperature outside and bring cozy layers as you feel you need. Aside from the opening and closing conversation, this practice will be done entirely laying down.
