About the dinner: Our Silent Supper is inspired by the Pagan tradition of “Dumb Supper” (dumb meaning silent in this context) held to honor the dead. Places are set for the departed as ‘honored guests’ and silence is held in order to commune and receive any messages from beyond the veil; any occurrences are attributed to the spirits, i.e. a cup spilling. There will be an option for discussion after the meal concludes.

TO BRING:

Items to add to the ancestor altar (photos, meaningful mementos, etc)   ⁃ If taking part in the supper—bring food to share if you’re able (ancestrally significant dishes welcome!)   ⁃ A plate, bowl, cup, and silverware for yourself and a place setting for your ancestors for the supper

COVID PROCEDURE: To co-create a space that is accessible and safe, we request that you take a rapid COVID test before the event, and refrain from attending if you have viral symptoms, even with a negative test result.

The event will be donation based for materials and facilitators time. Suggested donation $5-25. No one turned away.
