Grieving in Community Ritual: Let Your Grief Be Held
Sat, Nov 07
|The Portland Grief House
An intimate grief ritual for anyone carrying loss. Whether your grief is fresh, inherited, quiet, or unnamed, this is a space to express, release, and be witnessed without explanation or judgment. We'll gather in circle, create art, and return what we've been carrying back to the earth, together.

What
Grief doesn't only arrive with death.
It lives in the quiet disappointments, the identity shifts, the relationships that ended before we were ready. It shows up in the holidays, in family gatherings, in cultural traditions like Día de los Muertos — and in the parts of us that long for what once was, or never got to be.
The world we live in doesn't leave much space for any of that. It rushes us past our grief. Tells us to get over it. Makes it something to hide, something to manage, something to be ashamed of.
**This ritual is the opposite of that.**
You're invited into an intimate grief ritual — a sacred, unhurried space designed to help you express, process, and release grief in all its forms. Whether your grief is fresh or decades old, inherited or unnamed, quiet or consuming — it is welcome here. You do not…
