When & Where

Jun 26, 2022, 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM PDT

Portland, 7906 N Fessenden St, Portland, OR 97203, USA

“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.” Albert Einstein

Everything is vibration! Our thoughts, our feelings, our bodies, the world around us; all of it is vibrating. Sometimes it feels good to sort the vibrations into words; to name the things we experience and organize them. And sometimes it is good to leave the vibrations nameless, allowing ourselves to feel without the need for explanation or description.

During our time together we'll have the chance to experience both.

We'll start with a guided sensory meditation - to feel the ways light, movement, smell and sound affect our internal vibrations. Then Hannah will lead a tonal vibrational healing session with the cello, which will last between 20 and 25 minutes. After the session, we'll have a chance to verbally process and share our experiences. (There is no requirement that you share verbally, but it will be an option.)

After the session, you are welcome to stay for tea, treats and camaraderie.

This gathering is limited to 6 people who are experiencing active grief. There is no right or wrong here; no single valid source for your grief and no statute of limitations. Perhaps you recently lost someone to death, lost a job you cared about, or a tree you cared about. Maybe things with your body aren't working out like you hoped, things with your children are difficult, or climate change has you grieving for humanity. You might be mourning a loss that happened last week, one from years past, or it could be the anticipatory grief of something you see on the horizon.

If you are experiencing grief right now, come join us. Let's see how it feels to walk with each other through it, guided by our own vibrations and the healing sounds of the cello.
