There is so much suffering in the world right now. We gather to grieve the constant violations of so much life, dignity, and possibility under the violent systems of the overculture; and to honor our still-feeling hearts, by sitting with it together through embodied practice.

What
Amongst so much dehumanizing and violence near and far, we gather to be with and speak our collective grief. Bearing witness to genocides, ecocides, and racial and gender-based violence and repression lands in us as massive sorrow, guilt, rage, heaviness, danger and soul wound. All while trying to survive within the same systems that disconnect us from ourselves, from each other, and from the earth, and limit our possibilities of being.
We pause in community and we validate the wrongness with our grief. We gather to honor the humanity and dignity of lives lost, and the sacredness of a world that is burning. And we let the grief continue to metabolize in order to not be submerged in it, to nourish our hearts’ continued capacity for empathy (especially when we are surrounded by so much systemic and individual gaslighting of basic reality).
