What
Restorative yoga is a gentle, passive practice focused on deep relaxation and stress reduction through the use of props to support the body in long-held poses. It's a slower paced style of yoga with an emphasis on comfort, stillness, and deep breathing. Emma will hold space to allow the parasympathetic nervous system to activate, promoting a state of deep relaxation. Props like blankets, blocks, and bolsters are used to support the body in comfortable poses, allowing the body to relax and sink into the pose. Restorative yoga can help with stress reduction, improved sleep, increased flexibility, and deeper connection to oneself.
It's a gentle and supportive practice that can be beneficial for people of all levels and backgrounds, with no prior yoga experience necessary. You'll leave the class feeling calm and refreshed.
