When & Where

Oct 01, 2022, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Portland, 7906 N Fessenden St, Portland, OR 97203

What

We'll work together, one stitch at a time, to knit our loss into snug things that can keep us warm - physically and metaphorically. We will gather over four Saturdays this fall (10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12) to share and create.

In our first hour Maggie will offer knitting basics. We'll bring patterns for a few simple hats. If you already have a project underway you can stitch on your own knowing you call out for help if your run into trouble.

Once everyone feels tucked into their work, we'll have a grief knit-and-spill - we'll share what's ovewhelming us or weighing heavily or memories that feel bright and interested in being out and seen, while working on our new creations.

You're welcome to bring an existing project, materials for a new project, or come empty handed and start up a project from scratch. We'll have needles and yarn on hand as well as tea and snacks! No experience, materials or skill is requited.

The Standard ticket cost for this 4 week series, which includes yarn and needles - is $80.

Pay It Forward - $100

Community Ticket - $60

No one turned away for lack of funds.

If you're bringing your own materials, donate as you can!
