Sun, Oct 04
|ZOOM
In this five-week journey we’ll create space to meet grief with curiosity, creativity, movement, story, and community connection. We’ll explore five “gates” of grief—not as a path toward fixing or eliminating sorrow, but as invitations to transform it into connection, tenderness, and aliveness.

This five-week series, based on the work of Francis Weller’s book The Wild Edge of Sorrow, the improvisational system of InterPlay, and the collaborative facilitative work of Ade Anifowose and Jennifer Denning, LMSW, invites you to honor your grief and the grief of others in soul-expanding and life-affirming ways.
All living includes loss- not only loss through the death of loved ones, but other losses, both big and small. How do we honor the grief that comes from lost relationships, jobs, changing bodies and, as grief advocate Francis Weller writes, grief from “What we expected and didn’t receive”?
How do we honor and metabolize the grief of habitat loss and the collapse of systems we counted on?
Creating breathing room for what we are carrying helps. Acknowledging grief, creating from grief, and telling our stories, moving our bodies, and gathering in community ritual can all be balms allowing our grief…
