Adam will share essays and photos that invite us into his experience of how time spent in the outdoors has aided his recovery; not only from addiction, but also from the sudden and devastating loss of his life partner and home in early 2022.
Sharing personal insights and perspectives from time spent with Mother Nature, Adam’s hope is to help reveal the redemptive and healing powers of the outdoors.
The latter part of the evening will be open for guests to ask questions, share their experiences and start up conversations about how grief and nature can intertwine and tend each other.

Adam Sawyer is an outdoor and travel writer, photographer, published author, guide, and public speaker based in the Northwest.
