When & Where

Oct 08, 2023, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Portland, 15115 NW Gillihan Rd, Portland, OR 97231, USA

Who

What

Moving grief is an important practice of healing. Ayurveda (the holistic science and medicine originating from India thousands of years ago) gives us tools of support that are very beneficial. We will work with the senses to help support the grief process, creating beauty and connection through nature, sound and the sacred.  We will guide you in meditation and be accompanied by the cello to hold sacred space and explore creating beautiful and personal shrines to take home, offer to nature or whatever you decide. We will use flowers, found objects of the natural world, letters and/or objects you might bring with you to do this.

We will have supplies to help the process including:

-donated ceramic platters, plates and forms as the base of your altar

-small boxes as the base of your altar

-flowers and found objects from nature to create your altar

Please BRING: -a yoga mat or a small camp chair to sit on

-a blanket or other items to be comfortable while you create

-any sacred objects you may want to work with on your altar, ie: a photo, a figurine, a special item that holds meaning to you for your altar.

-anything else that you might like to use to create a sacred and personal altar
