Grievers, Listeners, Singers. Anyone seeking solace, nourishment and restoration in painful times of loss. You are invited into a healing experience, to harness the power of song and ritual. Shonali Banerjee, founder of Wise Ma Wellness, LLC, yoga therapist and death doula guides a Song Circle meant to nourish, soothe and align as you move through the changes & challenges of grief. You will be reminded of your humanity through songs dedicated to the natural word, to archetypal energies and to deities from various traditions. Each session compassionately invites you to come as you are. There will be opportunities to connect with the group and sing if desired and to simply listen, rest, and receive Shonali’s healing songs. The offering may include very gentle movement with plenty of space to lie down and rest. Come be held by song as you grieve. Shonali Banerjee, founder of Wise Ma Wellness, LLC has been teaching accessible adaptive yoga for over 20 years. She’s a yoga therapist, a death doula, a singer & a guide of sacred life ceremonies. She soothes frayed nerves by skillfully guiding breath & alignment based body movement. She holds space for truth & pain, encouraging a grounded awareness of what is possible now & imparts to students daily the necessity of rest, respect and compassion especially in the face of change. She sings every student into a sweet release. Shonali was certified to teach yoga in 2002 with Yogiraj Alan Finger and studied yoga therapeutics and women's health with TKV Desikachar. She was certified as a Yoga Therapist with the Pranakriya Yoga school in 2013 and certified as a Death Doula in 2022. Shonali founded the Goddess Choir in 2020, and shares songs of empowerment and grace. She released her debut album in 2022, Open to Receive. She currently sings at the bedside of the dying with the Threshold Choir. She’s a devoted wife and mother to 2 incredible teenagers.
